Our History
We are currently celebrating our 18th year here at Coastal Oaks Christian School. We are an ABeka video School offering grades Pre-School 4year olds through 6th grade. Coastal Oaks Christian School was established in 1991, as a mission of Coastal Oaks Church to offer Christian Education for families who desire it.
Our Purpose
The God given ministry of Christian schools is to lead young people to Christ and train them in the Bible, Christian character, and traditional matter. Today's students need to be taught the accumulated wisdom of the past from God's point of view and trained in the way they should go(Prov.22:6), so they will have a firm foundation from which to evaluate the present and make proper decisions for the future.
About the "A Beka" Program
At COCS we are unashamedly Christian and traditional in our approach to education, and the "A Beka" program stands on the same values. They are a proven and widely accepted program designed to provide an excellent and complete Christian education. They are dedicated to providing a quality education from a Christian perspective.
The A Beka Book approach to Christian education keeps learning lively, interesting, and memorable. The material reflects sensible theory that is firmly anchored to practicality. Our Director
Miss Brenda Whitaker has been teaching at COCS for 17 years and has been the director for 11. She has a love for children and she doesn't look at her teaching as a job, but as a ministry opportunity. Her goal in life is to make a difference in the life of a child. In her 15 years of teaching she has seen many children come and go through the door and she has ministered to each one of those students. She counts it as a great joy to be a teacher and the Director of Coastal Oaks Christian School.
She would like to highly encourage prospective parents to call and make an appointment to visit the school. Classes in session are the best way to see how " Video School" works. She and her staff welcome you and are eager to answer any questions you have concerning procedures at COCS.

Tuition: $200.00 monthly
Book and material fees vary (we purchase all supplies that are needed for the school year).
