The Journey (COC Building Program)

We chose the theme, The Journey, to describe our partnership with God as He provides the funds for us to construct a new worship center.  We began construction of this new facility in January of 2002 and since then, we have watched as God provided over $780,000 to pay for the construction, a debt-free building project.  The new building connects with our existing office and education building creating a huge foyer between the two.  In addition to a 450 seat worship space, new restrooms, classrooms, and a library are included.  

On November 18th we moved into the new building!

Progress Report

The Journey continues as we wait on God to provide the additional finances needed to complete the project.

Items still needed:

            *   Exterior Brick (to tie in new building with existing building)

December 2007
Another "11th hour" delivery.  The carpet arrived on Friday afternoon, December 1st,  and volunteers scrambled all day Saturday to prepare the room for worship.

November 2007
The call came in the "11th hour" that we will be able to use the new worship center on Sunday, November 18th.  Volunteers appeared out of nowhere and helped get the room ready for worship.

October 2007
Crews  painted, installed doors and trimwork. Final door hardware installation, bathroom plumbing, and foyer tile work were nearing completion. 

September 2007
Volunteers installed most of the trim and the entry doors.  Volunteers continued to paint.  Crews installed bathroom tile and painted trim.

Crews put the finishing touches on the tilework and trim.

August 2007
Painting was completed  The fire alarm system was installed.  The stage steps were completed.  Tile was  installed in the bathrooms. Interior doors and trim were installed.
